Our Leadership
Driven by Purpose. Guided by Passion. United by Vision.
Meet Our Leadership Team of RLF. At the heart of the Raphaella Lewis Foundation is a team of committed leaders who bring experience, compassion, and unwavering dedication to our mission of raising autism awareness and supporting families across Liberia, the USA, and beyond.
Our leadership reflects the very essence of our foundation—inspired by a personal journey, driven by community impact, and devoted to breaking stigmas and building futures for autistic children.
Founder’s Message
“This mission began with my daughter, Raphaella—and it has grown into a movement of hope, healing, and action. Through education, advocacy, and love, we’re building a world where every child, no matter their abilities, is valued and supported.”
— Jesayda, Founder & Executive Director
Meet Our Leadership Team of RLF

Jesayda Wright
I hold a BA in Business Management with Marketing and was raised in Hackney, East London. My journey into special needs advocacy began after my daughter was diagnosed with autism. Facing stigma and misinformation, especially within African communities, inspired me to speak out and educate others. Through the RLF, I’m committed to breaking stigmas, raising awareness, and ensuring that every child with autism is seen, valued, and supported.

For over seven years, I’ve served in various roles with Local 2209 Union, including Coordinator of the Legislative and Political Action Committee. My faith guides both my personal and professional life.

Shayla Harris
I am a dedicated Special Education Assistant with nearly 10 years of experience, working with individuals with diverse needs since 2006. As a former Autism Teacher, I had the honor of teaching Raphaella, which deepened my passion for autism advocacy. With a personal connection through my autistic nephew, I’ve gained over 35 years of insight into autism.
